Why I’m Reverse Engineering ALS—and How This Map Can Help You

I built this map because I was tired of watching people die without a roadmap.

Too many patients and families are left with nothing but vague diagnoses, dead-end drugs, and one-size-fits-all “support.” That’s not good enough—not for something as complex and devastating as ALS.

So I reverse engineered it.

This map is the result of thousands of hours of study, case tracking, clinical experience, and deep research into how ALS really works—at the system level. What breaks down, why it breaks down, and most importantly: what we can do about it.

What You’re Looking At

Each branch of this map represents one of the major systems in the body—nervous, muscular, immune, mitochondrial, endocannabinoid, and more. Under each system, I’ve laid out:

  • The core dysfunctions I see again and again in ALS

  • The known root mechanisms (from glutamate excitotoxicity to mitochondrial collapse)

  • The most promising strategies to intervene, support, and repair

This isn’t a theoretical model. It’s built from real-world cases—what’s actually working out there, and where we still need better answers.

How to Use It

Click any body system to expand it. Zoom, scroll, and follow the logic:

Symptom → Root Cause → Therapeutic Strategy.

This is for everyone—patients, caregivers, clinicians, and curious minds. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or deep into this journey, this map is here to help you understand what’s going on and where to focus your energy.

I Want to Hear From You

I’m doing this as a one-woman show. And I want your feedback.

This map will keep growing. I plan to publish more maps as we go—covering deeper layers of therapy, real case strategies, and what’s actually working on the ground. But this version is the core: the full-body breakdown of ALS as I understand and treat it.

If you see something I’ve missed—or if you’re doing something that’s working for you—please tell me. A fresh set of eyes is always welcome.

What Comes Next

This blog will go deeper into:

  • Why mitochondrial collapse is central to ALS

  • How gut health drives everything

  • What the endocannabinoid system is really doing

  • How psilocybin, CBD, and terpene therapy are changing outcomes

  • Case stories, protocol breakdowns, and honest science

We’re not here to give up. We’re here to map it, understand it, and reverse it.

Let’s get to work.
